Here at ECU Australia we are dedicated to ensuring our Members are aware of the many options available to avoid paying fees.
To make things easy for you, we have compiled the below guidelines to help you keep your fees to a minimum.
Use the rediATM network
ECU Australia are part of the rediATM network which means you have access to over 3,100 ATMs that will add a Direct Charge to your withdrawal. Recent arrangements have combined the NAB and rediATM networks which mean you're now part of one of the largest ATM networks in the country. Every Member is entitled to 5 free rediATM transactions per month.
To locate a rediATM you can:
- Visit www.rediatm.com.au and conduct a search
- Text your post code or suburb and state to 199 55 286 with your mobile phone

When shopping, use EFTPOS to get cash out
Withdrawing cash while shopping avoids the need to use an ATM and saves time. Every Member is entitled to 10 free EFTPOS transactions per month so why not take advantage of them.
Avoid using cash when shopping
When shopping, avoid using cash by utilising your Visa Debit Card or rediCARD to purchase goods. When purchasing, both cards have the option of pressing “savings” which allows you to use one of your 10 free EFTPOS transactions. Our Visa Debit Card also gives you unlimited free transactions when you press the “credit” option when purchasing goods.
Pay your bills electronically
Using e-Teller Internet Banking or Telelink Telephone Banking, you have the ability to pay any bill electronically using our BPAY facility. Any BPAY transaction made on e-Teller or Telelink where the
"Pay Now" option is selected is free.
Use e-Teller Internet Banking and Telelink Telephone Banking
Internal Transfers between your own accounts/memberships, External Transfers to other Financial Institutions and BPAYs are all free on both e-Teller and Telelink when the "Pay Now" option is selected.
You can also easily retrieve your balances from either. We recommend taking advantage of these services in any way possible.

Avoiding the Service Fee
ECU Australia’s Everyday Access, Business Flexi and Mortgage Eliminator Accounts are subject to a monthly service fee of $5. However, Members are eligible for an exemption of the fee if:
- A average credit balance of $500 is held in the account.
- A minimum monthly credit or debit balance of $30,000 is held within a membership number.
- A Term Deposit over $10,000.00 is held within a membership number.
- A Loan account over $10,000.00 is held within a membership number.
