This Thursday, October 20, ECU Australia is celebrating International Credit Union Day, a day celebrated internationally on the third Thursday of October, since its inception in 1948.
Credit union members around the world will celebrate this event to commemorate the credit union movement’s impact and achievements. In honor of this special day, ECU Australia invites its members and the whole community to celebrate the day with us.
To mark this year’s event ECU Australia is celebrating with a Pink Day in support of Breast Cancer Awareness. Everyone is welcome to come down to any of our branches located across Queensland and join in the celebrations including pink cupcakes; with all donations going to Breast Cancer Research.
International Credit Union Day aims to create awareness and celebrate the ways credit unions improve the lives of their members around the world. For more than 150 years, credit unions worldwide have proudly put people before profits in order to provide access to affordable financial services for all members.
As not-for-profit financial mutuals, credit unions invest their earnings in helping members. In addition to competitive loan rates and better customer service, members experience the difference that comes through in our democratic structure, our service to members, and the social goals that credit unions’ “people-helping-people” philosophy supports.
ECU Australia provides outstanding service, excellent products and is a proud supporter of our local communities. For more information visit us at www.facebook.com/ECUAustralia or call 1800 383 791.
